Protecting Construction Site via Mobile Phone

The master tower, located on the driveway, deployed TeleEye RX to monitor the site.

TeleEye continues to become the leading security specialist to the construction industry...
At a new build in Berkshire, UK, the owner, himself the manager of a construction company, sought security of the construction site. He has suffered theft of heavy duty construction machinery worth thousands of pounds and knows of the need for security systems at construction sites.
TeleEye's installation partners, Indigo installed two CCTV towers at the property. A master tower was located on the driveway, to monitor site visitors, record video and time details. A second tower was installed facing the house to monitor build progress and general site activity. Each tower held two fixed cameras monitoring 24 hours a day. The towers were connected with a network communications cable. Each had separate power supplies. A TeleEye RX Video Recording Server in the master tower then recorded all site activities while enabling network access, via a broadband service, for remote, off site PC viewing and system control. Any unauthorised vehicle was identified as such and a warning sound activated. The work at the site was remotely monitored via the owner's 3G mobile phone, providing video confirmation of supplier deliveries, staff attendance and building progress.
Andrew Hills of Indigo commented, "TeleEye remote transmission products are ideal for the temporary security systems we install. Mobile phone or PDA access is a great bonus with many of our customers finding it valuable."

TeleEye RX with its quick video extraction provided crucial evidence to the police...
A TeleEye RX Series Video Recording Server guarded a large shopping mall in the Philippines and assisted in catching the perpetrator in a recent murder case.
On June 30, a 22-year-old father asked his former wife and his three-year-old daughter to go to a shopping mall. In the mall, the couple went separate ways, the father with the daughter and the mother with another child. When the couple met again, the father claimed that the daughter went away and he lost his daughter. A few days later, the daughter's body was found floating in the creek.
The police reviewed the high quality video recorded by TeleEye RX3616 installed in the shopping mall. Incorporating SMAC-M multi-stream video compression technology, the TeleEye RX3616 clearly captured the father leaving the mall with his daughter and coming back into the hall 3 minutes later without the child.
After reviewing the images, the police were able to develop a clear lead to the father for the crime. The police confronted the father with the snapshot printouts from the mall, which clearly showed the location, date, time & camera information from TeleEye unit. The father did not deny that he and his daughter were the ones captured on the surveillance camera. He later admitted to killing his daughter.
The same imagery from the TeleEye RX3616, later served as important evidence and assisted in gaining the conviction.

A comprehensive remote monitoring system was demonstrated...
TeleEye demonstrated how the award-winning RX Series Video Recording Server partnered with M-303 mobile monitoring solution at SECUREX in June 2007. Incorporating SMAC-M multi-stream video compression technology, the simultaneous outstanding performance in video transmission and recording of TeleEye RX was impressing.
TeleEye Central Monitoring Station CMS01 with BS 8418 compliant also attracted many visitors' awareness. A comprehensive account system with clients and site details and a centralized logging system with traceable alarm responses and actions taken by the operator were introduced. CMS01 is designed for professional central monitoring and visual alarm verification applications.
Also on display was the TeleEye RX504, one of the first mobile video recording servers supporting HSDPA, for fleet management. When there is an incident, with a mobile data modem, the driver can push a button to trigger the TeleEye RX504 to send video back to a designated receiving PC or central monitoring station via HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE or GPRS.
